"Franky"

Evan with his spider buddy "Franky".

"Franky" climbing up Evan's neck.

"Franky" was content to hang out in Evan's hair.
He spent almost an hour there. Even when I took
him out, he would climb right back up.

Genetics???

"Wait for it. Wait for it."

"NOW! Move, move, move!"
Proof that the need to hold the remote is genetic! ; )

Project Playhouse Update

Almost done!
The outside needs a little trim and a front door.
This has been a fun family project, but I am ready
for it to be done ; )
Notice the mailbox and address... both are Evan's idea.

Stuck on the Roof

Evan's preschool had a special chapel time on Wednesday. Parents and grandparents were invited to attend. During chapel the youth minister used a model rocket to demonstrate a point he was making about following God's path. He asked if the rocket stays on a straight path where will it eventually go? Lots of the kids got excited and started calling out "Heaven! It will go to heaven!". Evan raised his hand and waited to be called on. Only moments later it became to much to bear and he blurted out to the youth minister that he needed to tell him something.

Evan asked simply... "What if the rocket gets stuck on the roof of the garage?"

Oh, these are precious times! ; )

Who needs a bed?

Apparently Evan doesn't.
I went to check on him about an hour after he went to bed.
Only Evan wasn't in his bed or even in his room.
He was sacked out on the floor of the playroom/guestroom.

First Trophy

Evan got a soccer trophy yesterday. He recently
completed his first season of soccer. This is his very
first trophy and he is very proud. He has carried it
everywhere. Evan kepts showing us how to hold it
properly so we won't drop it. And he has informed us
that babies aren't allowed to touch it.

Project Playhouse Update

Just for fun quiz... What Should My Superpower Be?

Your Superpower Should Be Mind Reading

You are brilliant, insightful, and intuitive.
You understand people better than they would like to be understood.
Highly sensitive, you are good at putting together seemingly irrelevant details.
You figure out what's going on before anyone knows that anything is going on!

Why you would be a good superhero: You don't care what people think, and you'd do whatever needed to be done

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Feeling even more isolated than you do now

Project Playhouse

Evan's playhouse in progress.
Markas is a notorious over-builder. Evan's playhouse is no exception.
What started out as throw together fort made from scraps is
now going to be a 6 ft. x 6 ft. playhouse raised about 4 feet
off the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't wind up with
plumbing, electricity, a tv and two reclinders... man central! ; )

Four Red Socks and a Wedding Dress

When you have a child, you just never known what
the day will bring.
This day brought us a sock hop...
with a twist.

Evan asked if I still had my "wedding costume" which
of course I do. He asked to see it so out it came. And what better
time for a sock hop than when there are four red socks
and a wedding dress.
Goodness gracious great balls of fire! ; )
